An alternative approach for conducting tests of multi-choice format is the e-Examination Platform or simply a Computer based Test (CBT). The CBT is necessary considering the large population of students enrolled in Nigerian Secondary and Higher Institutions of learning. Furthermore, the student size and the unique nature of some departmental courses hinder its total implementation. This paper investigates the challenges attributed to the manual processes of conducting test/exams into an automated system. The paper also examines the potential for using student feedback in the validation of assessments. The process was further modified to run in parallel, making it faster, and helped to minimize human errors, improve the accuracy of the CBT and produce quality and transparency in the process. A survey of 230 students from various schools was taken to test and sample their opinions, by filling a carefully worded questionnaire. The data collected was then collated and analyzed. The analysis showed that more than 95% of the students surveyed were already competent in the use of computers and the CBT platform. Also, more than 90% of them found the platform easy to navigate and use.

Virtual machines are rapidly becoming an essential element in providing system security, flexibility, cross-platform compatibility, reliability, and resource efficiency. Designed to solve problems in combining and using major computer system components, virtual machine technologies are important to a number of disciplines, including operating systems, programming languages, and computer architecture. For example, at the process level, virtualizing technologies support dynamic program translation and platform-independent network computing. At the system level, they support multiple operating system environments on the same hardware platform and in servers. Historically, individual virtual machine techniques have been developed within the specific disciplines that employ them (in some cases they aren?t even referred to as ?virtual machines?), making it difficult to see their common underlying relationships in a cohesive way. In this text, Smith and Nair take a new approach by examining virtual machines as a unified discipline. Pulling together cross-cutting technologies allows virtual machine implementations to be studied and engineered in a well-structured manner. During task composition, such as can be found in distributed query processing, workflow systems and AI planning, decisions have to be made by the system and possibly by users with respect to how a given problem should be solved. Although there is often more than one correct way of solving a given problem, these multiple solutions do not necessarily lead to the same result. Some researchers are addressing this problem by providing data provenance information. Others use expert advice encoded in a supporting knowledge-base. However, users do not usually trust complete automation during decision-making for certain domains with natural variation, like biology; they need a way to be able to control and/or intervene with the system´s reasoning to verify parts of the process. This book provides a thorough analysis of the problem and presents a data-centric methodology of measuring decision criticality and describe its potential use. We argue that agent technology is a natural fit for the design of distributed heterogeneous integration systems, particularly in bioinformatics, and we propose a multi-agent system design and architecture as the basis of our framework.
